My paper promoting QGIS gets most prestigious award

The Malaysian Government Open Source Conference 2009 was held at Kuala Lumpur on 4-6.11.2009. There, I presented a paper entitled "OSS GIS for town and country planning". Earlier on, I submitted my article entitled " Establishing Quantum GIS as the Principal GIS for the Public Sector" in which it won the most prestigious award (at the public sector level) of the evening. Hopefully this will generate more interest on QGIS. I take this opportunity to thank developers of Quantum GIS for making this possible.

Hi badaveil,
That's really great! Care to share your article with us? Maybe we could even put it (or parts) on the official website?
Greetings to Malaysia!

Congratulation, you should submit the article like this one: QGIS in the governmental FOSSGIS stack of the Canton of Solothurn in Switzerland

Thanks for the advice. Well, I registered myself at QGIS Wiki but it was kind of confusing (for me) there so I sent my article to otto.dassau, the Community Manager

We're discussing whether to publish it on the wiki or the main website. Anyway, it's a great paper :D and it will be made available soon.

@badaveil: Would you be willing to summarize your article so we can publish it as a case study on the website? (compare: http://www.qgis.org/en/community/qgis-case-studies.html) Alternatively, I can offer to write a summary and send it to you for approval before publishing it.

I'd rather you take this option. I like to see and try to understand how another person approaches my paper. I don't really need to approve it as long as the main substance is there but I could if you wanted me to.

Here's a link to the paper if anyone else is having trouble finding it, like me.
